The family wanted a personal home with a lot of character that felt effortless.
The house was built in the ‘70s, however nearly every aspect of the structure has now undergone major changes- from the floor plan, windows and doors to material choices and finally a complete interiors concept with lighting design we have completely transformed the building.

Commander´s Retreat is a unique spaces that reflect both comfort and elegance. This project allowed us to bring their vision to life by creating a luxurious master suite and a cozy, inviting library.

The primary suite is designed as a serene retreat, every detail has been carefully considered, from the selection of materials to the layout, ensuring that it’s not just a bedroom, but a personal sanctuary. Soft textures, natural light, and subtle color tones create a calming environment that provides the perfect escape after a busy day.

Adjacent to the primary suite, we designed a library that doubles as a haven for relaxation and inspiration. The space is rich in character, with custom-built shelves to house a vast collection of books, and a cozy seating area that invites you to curl up with a good read. We’ve incorporated timeless design elements to create a room where the family can enjoy both quiet moments and meaningful conversations.

The 100 square meter family apartment was created with a new layout, kitchen and bathroom design and a complete interior design concept.

For the second time, we are entrusted with creating unique surfaces and inspiring environments for Mentimeter's new head office in Stockholm. In the new central location in an old industrial premises, we created both lounge environments, a bar and an entire restaurant where the industrial meets luxurious material in a tasteful and elegant way. Furthermore, we created a transition between creative stand up meeting spaces with social parts in this unique and very innovative company.

This apartment complex in Djurås, Dalarna consisting of 48 apartments divided into two houses. This housing project is a full interior design concept by Refine Design Studio. Consisting of concepts with choice of colors and materials, layout and design of kitchen and bathroom.

 The family of three who currently live abroad wanted a complete facelift of their Stockholm home from home.

Requesting a luxury hotel lifestyle, mainly drawing inspiration from New York, with some Scandinavian undertones, Refine Design Studio interpreted the brief as a light and sumptuous abode.  

Custom made kitchen in a warm gray-beige tone and limestone. The family asked for a Scandinavian warm kitchen with plenty of countertop space to work on and space for children and guests to join. The assignment also included to do the interior and coloring to the associated dining room and home office in the same Scandinavian feeling.

We have been honored to create a creative and restful work environment for a high-performing and incredibly interesting, innovative company focused on the work environment and to be an attractive workplace for its super talents. The result was nude tones combined with earthy warm beige elements and strings of black details. In the room, both bookshelves and the divider were built to create a diverse environment and combine the traditional workplaces with lounge areas and so-called touchdown places to work from.

In this penthouse we had the opportunity to create a large and lovely bathroom with associated mini dressing room. The bathroom goes in warm gray tones of concrete and terazzo kermaik and has a typical Scandinavian look with combined black elements. In a loft, one always has to think about ceiling heights and angles to maximize this in a best way, pull-out wardrobe was created in the dressing room that connects to the bathroom.

Refine Design Studio has developed a unique store concept with an exclusive and minimalistic feeling. We wanted to create a concept that gives a strong impression and does not go unnoticed. The result was an open environment combined with natural materials and earthy colors. The raw concrete surface grows strong together with the unique stone. The few but well-chosen interiors have a beautiful expression and harmonize well with their surroundings.

Black and white kitchen

The lead for this mission was the Beverly hills hotel, and plenty of storage. After that we were free to interpret the customer's wishes into reality. It resulted in this creative and unique guest suite with plenty of storage and extra everything in true Art Deco style.

A family returning home from living abroad wanted to bring in both a distinctly Scandinavian colour palette, as well as inspiration from their years abroad. Combining their preferred modern design aesthetic with the late 19th century architecture, with sprawling ceilings and elaborate cornicing creates an interesting juxtaposition that highlight the best of both, without creating conflict between them.

This corporate office in the heart of Stockholm projects a feminine elegance. The basic colour scheme is warm and inviting, with a nude tone added onto various textures around the office.

This office is a modern twist on the gentlemen’s smokers lounge, the colour scheme is dark and masculine, using traditional and highly tactile materials such as leather, velvet and wood. Deep brown, dark emerald green and the cognac colour of the leather set the tone for the space, while the clean and modern lines create a contemporary experience.

This is a Scandinavian dream of a kitchen, subtle tones of grey, natural materials and a touch of the new nordic noir with darker accents. The whole space was opened up to create a kitchen for the whole family to spend time together.

We had the privilege of creating this green art deco oasis, with an industrial twist for a client. Plenty of bespoke solutions were implemented to create a practical and unique bathroom, suitable for family life. For a smaller space such as a bathroom it is important to optimise the use of the space to create good storage, and ease of function.  

This apartment in central Stockholm has been given a style update for the new millenium. A bright new colour scheme, clean lines and design classics makes it the perfect home for a young professional couple.

Custom made kitchen in walnut and limestone. The family asked for a warm and rustic kitchen but still minimal and modern with all practical functions and two dishwashers. The character of the walnut is well-balanced with the monochrome feeling of the warm gray tones in the upper cabinets and walls. The kitchen fan was also special coated in the same gray color. The counter top in limestone adds another dimension of materials and together whit the black details in mixer, sink and window section they together provide a perfect balance. Very much likable!
